A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Jefferson Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the information in the message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services may create standard logs, including an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregate information to maintain the service and understand use of its Jefferson record pages. Cookies or similar technology may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Technical Data Is Used
That limited information helps operate the service, address faults, measure overall traffic, and improve the reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The policy of the destination service controls information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results, which are supplied by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when a valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Since no visitor accounts exist, Jefferson Residents Directory does not hold account passwords or user profiles.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
You may have a right, depending on your location and the information held, to ask for access, correction, or deletion. Because we retain little, a request normally concerns the contact mailbox or server logs. Use the Contact page for that purpose. Government-held public records are outside our control. Under the Texas Public Information Act, Tex. Gov’t Code ch. 552, record requests and corrections go to the custodian that maintains the relevant Jefferson, county, or state record.
